- Canadian Guideline for Safe and Effective Use of Opioids for Chronic Non-Cancer Pain
This guideline offers practical advice for using opioid therapy as a treatment option for patients with chronic non-cancer pain. The guideline is not proposed as a policy or standard of practice - it is intended to give physicians advice based on the best available information, research and consensus of opinion.
- Key Informant Survey
The Addictions Foundation of Manitba is currently working on a project to improve services to workplaces in the area of gambling. The target audience is shift workers and the Foundation would appreciate if physicians would take the time to complete and return the survey. Responses can be emailed, faxed or sent via Canada Post if preferred. The survey is an easy to complete single page and no identifiers are requested.

- CME Course on Infectious Disease Outbreaks
Tools and strategies for front-line clinicians course was developed by infectious disease specialists and public health experts across Canada. This course has been accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Fédération des médecins omnipraticiens du Québec. The course has also been endorsed by the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Public Health Network Council. It helps front-line clinicians protect themselves, their families and their communities against the growing threat of infectious disease outbreaks. Targeted primarily at front-line clinicians, including family doctors, emergency physicians, paediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and outpost nurses, the course focuses on prevention and control, screening, diagnosis and treatment strategies and practices.
