NEW FOR MANITOBA PHYSICIANS-CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The amendments to regulation 25/03 under the Medical Act require that all physicians participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

A second component of Continuing Competency is participation in the Physician Achievement Review. This process was developed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and is also used by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. The Manitoba Physician Achievement Review (MPAR) commenced September 2011. More information about MPAR is available at www.mpar.ca.
